How far in advance do I need to sign up?You can sign up for a gathering as long as spots are still available. Walk-ins are also welcome but availability is not guaranteed. Spots are limited for each gathering as the quality of your experience matters greatly to us. Subscribing to a group term guarantees a spot for your child at every gathering for the entire term.
-
When can I join a term? You can join anytime! Every class caters to children of different ages within the same stage (e.g. a newborn and a 4 month old can both attend a pre-crawler session). So, our classes do not "progress" or "get harder" - children find new ways to challenge themselves as they develop internally, and adults simply adjust what they do & how much assistance they provide! When your child reaches a new developmental stage (e.g. from crawling to walking), you can choose to use your remaining semester credits to switch to the Walkers program, or continue in your current program. There'll be much to learn & enjoy for both you and Tiny, either way :)
-
Are all the groups the same? Can I choose which group to attend? Each group is different! Depending on the needs of the group, your TinyOutdoors guide maps out a series of lessons for each term, focusing on different skills & themes each class. Each term's program also varies slightly to adapt to new material we create or new seasons and festivals to celebrate. You can choose to attend any group you like, but we encourage you to enrol in a full term so you and your Tiny can benefit from holistic development!
-
How often are your group sessions held? Some groups meet for a term of 5 weeks, some 12! If you choose to pay by session, you can attend any available sessions you wish, as often as you like.

Can a sibling join the same session? If your child's sibling is at a different developmental stage (e.g. a Walker vs a Pre-Crawler), we encourage you to enrol them in different group. This is so that they get the most of the group. We have a 10% sibling discount, just let us know upon sign-up so we can apply it! As our classes are held in your local park, some parents find that it works well to allow a sibling who is unable to join a session to enjoy the surrounding greenery until the session is over.
-
Where are your sessions held?We hold sessions in various parks around Singapore, depending on whether we can gather enough parents in one spot! Check out our booking page to see the currently available open groups, or message us via the chat box find out more! We are working to expand groups to wherever you are - just let us know your postal code so we can gather interest from other families in your area.

What if my child does not want to participate in the activities?TinyOutdoors sessions are developed with children in mind - we know they are curious by nature, but also have a lot going on in their little heads, and sometimes have good days and bad days just like us adults! Our specially designed session set-ups allow different children's interests to be met. We encourage free exploration during sessions so that each child can decide what appeals to them at that moment. If you find that your child is not interested in any one activity, feel free to invite your child to move on to another one and come back to it later! Our classes are also designed so that you always walk away with valuable lessons - whether it's for you, your child, or both! A child refusing to participate gives us signs about their inner worlds, and your TinyOutdoors Guide will work with you to figure this out so that you are equipped to handle this situation in the future and in your home too. You can also take home any materials allocated to you to continue the activity at home. Often, the more anxious we are, the more we drive our children away. Take a calm and observant approach, and chances are that sooner or later, your child will re-engage.

SafetyWe believe children should be given ample space and freedom to drive their own play, but some safety measures can help make play a more enjoyable experience for everyone! Every child is accompanied by an adult. Our Guides will work with adults to keep the environment safe. This includes: Encouraging children not to put nature's treasures in their mouths. Our Guides will always bring along clean & sanitised options for mouthing so that we can honour the need of babies and young toddlers to explore with their mouths. Guides pledge to our honesty-first policy when it comes to their own health - they are not permitted to run a session while ill, putting your children in harm's way. (For Walker programs) Reminding children to play in a way that keeps them and other friends feeling safe.
-
What if my child needs a nap during the session? We understand - young babies nap often and it's hard to plan around it! You can choose to: Come anyway, and listen along until baby wakes. There are always valuable tips that you can practice with baby after the session ends. You can also take home any crafting material designated for you and work on it later! If you know in advance that your baby will likely be napping, you can also choose to cancel in exchange for session credit, to be used later. Please refer to our refunds & cancellation policy below for details. If you have a child with a predictable nap schedule, but you can't find a TinyOutdoors session timing that fits you, just drop us a message at the chat button below to let us know your preferred timing! We'll try to gather other interested families for a term that fits your schedule :)

What if I can't make it for my session, is there a make-up session? For families paying by session: - Inform us at least 2 hours before the gathering and receive 1 make-up credit. - Inform us at less than 2 hours before the gathering and receive $15 credit for your next meet. - For no-shows, no credits will be issued. For families subscribed to a full term: - Every term, you can be issued up to 3 make-up class credits. Make-up credits cannot be carried forward to the next term package you purchase. - To be issued a make-up credit, inform us before the session if you are unable to make it. Session credit policy (applies to all) - All credits must be used within 4 months or they expire. This includes session & dollar credits. - Once any credit is used to reschedule a session, it is considered used up even if you are unable to attend that day. To reschedule again, you will have to use other credits. - For no-shows, no credits will be issued. - Any child can only have a maximum of 4 make-up credits tagged to their name. We seek your understanding that the above policy is to ensure other families keen to join have room, and also reduce the inconvenience on TinyOutdoors Guides.

What if it rains? We only cancel in cases of emergencies, illness on the part of the Guide, or extreme weather. In case of light rain, your TinyOutdoors Guides will have a sheltered location nearby to hold or continue the class. Please come prepared to move (e.g., with a carrier, stroller, wagon etc.) in case the weather changes during a session. If the session is cancelled by The TinyOutdoors, then we will inform you via text as soon as we know this information. Families can decide to reschedule or receive session credits.
